Abstraction: Removing something
Ex. Removing a rotten tooth
Perform: faking or acting something,
Ex. posing in a way that reflects depression. In that moment, you are not depressed but performing as if depressed
Copyright: Legal ownership of something, preventing people from profiting off of the owners' work and also protects authorship
Non-commercial: Something shared with the public but not used to make money, like a profile picture
Commercial: Using something to make money, like a business logo or an image on a t-shirt
Pirating: Making money off of something that is legally owned by someone else
Ownership: Is tricky and can be defined in many ways,
Who is in possession of something
Who came up with the idea
Who owns the legal rights to the concept
Aura: a quality integral to an artwork that cannot be communicated through mechanical reproduction techniques – such as photography
Reproduction: making a copy or copies of something
