PhotoBook - Key Words
Cinematic: the way in which a story is told, whether through a film, video game, comic book, etc.
Colophon: a publisher's emblem or imprint, especially one on the title page or spine of a book
Continuity: A Gestalt principle that refers to the visual tendency to create continuous figures.

Dialectic: The dynamic, often contradictory relationship between opposites

Discontinuity: A deliberate break from traditional, linear, or coherent narratives, often highlighting disruption or fragmentation
Fiction: Not true, made up, or imaginary
Identity: Who or what something is

Image/Text: The relationship between an image and text
Ex. A picture book/Children's book

Interval: A distinct measure of time or the physical or temporal distance between two things
JPG: A compressed raster file format used for digital photos and web graphics
Juxtaposition: Two things being seen or placed close together with a contrasting effect
Montage: A kind of collage, a film sequence made up of many short scenes edited together
PhotoBook: A book of photographs that has an overarching theme or follows a storyline
Photo-essay: A form of visual storytelling that develops a narrative across a series of photographs.
Photo Montage: A photomontage is a collage constructed from photographs
Post-production: The final editing and organizing of artwork
Resolution: Level of detail in a digital image, determined by the number of pixels
TIFF: Tag Image File Format is a computer file used to store raster graphics and image information
